Job Summary
Performs direct patient care in respiratory therapy in accordance with physician orders; serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care; contributes to evaluation of therapy effectiveness and collaborates with ER/critical care teams. Eligible candidates hold RRT NBRC credential and RCP licensure; ACLS preferred; PALS required for ER personnel where applicable; physical requirements include handling equipment and patient movement as outlined.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Experience: None
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC; PALS for ER as applicable
- Preferred: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Equipment: Knowledge of respiratory care devices; physical ability for push/pull up to 50 lbs and related movements
