Job Summary
Conduct respiratory care procedures and modalities under physician direction or medical director supervision, including critical care and blood gas analysis. Perform CPR, NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications as required. Utilize computerized equipment and patient care applications within a hospital environment. Maintain current temporary or permanent licensure from the applicable state of practice. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved AMA school for Respiratory Therapy
- Current temporary or permanent license (LRCP) from the applicable State of practice
- Working knowledge of all Respiratory Care procedures and modalities including Critical Care and Blood Gas analysis
- Eligible to take or have passed the Certification (CRT) exam given by the NBRC
- Certified by the American Heart Association to provide CPR
- Ability to work with computers in a health care environment
Desired Qualifications
- Additional College and/or Associate's Degree
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment
- NRP Certification
- PALS Certified
- ACLS Certified
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to learn and work with computerized equipment and patient care applications
