Job Summary
Provide care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes and perform bedside diagnostic procedures as needed. Review and maintain respiratory care plans, then evaluate patients to adjust care appropriately. Assist as a preceptor for students and new hires. Must be on call and able to lift 30 pounds. Requires entry-level certification, a valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and a current Indiana State license. ACLS and NRP certifications are required for Parkview Randallia and Community Hospital locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program
- Must obtain entry level certification
- Must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners
- Must have current certification in CPR
- Must be able to be on call
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- PALS and Stable preferred but not required
