Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures while managing daily sonography room operations, patient scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Report equipment failures immediately and perform quality assessment processes to ensure high standards of medical ethics and patient care excellence. Maintain current certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular specialties with preferred Breast and Adult Echo Cardiography credentials, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) compliance. Collaborate within the team to advance knowledge of evolving disease states and new procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Technology program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the following specialties Abdomen, OB/GYN and Vascular
- Breast certification preferred
- Certification in Adult Echo Cardiography is preferred
- Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies), as appropriate
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
