Job Summary
Refund/Credit Balance Specialist at XiFin located in Charleston, SC. Responsible for researching and processing credits tied to accessions, reviewing EOBs, patient payments, and client invoices; manage vendor clarifications and ensure timely turnaround on outstanding credit balance accounts; conduct calls to payors, ensure regulatory and payor-level procedures compliance, and maintain turnaround targets (no more than 60 days). Requires detail orientation, strong communication, ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and collaboration with teams in a fast-paced environment. Growth-minded, organized, and proactive with familiarity in Revenue Cycle Management and medical terminology, with MS Office proficiency. Role not eligible for sponsorship; applicable benefits and compensation range $20-$24/hour (annualized $41,600–$49,920) depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- 1-year related experience in medical field
- Professional working experience in MS Suite
- Understanding of medical terminology
