Job Summary
The Refugee Resettlement Case Manager at AJAPO will serve as the first point of contact for newly arriving refugees and be responsible for providing comprehensive services for 90 days to each assigned refugee family/individual. Key responsibilities include creating pre-arrival files, welcoming refugees at the airport, providing essential living services, supporting referrals to social services, orienting new arrivals on public transportation, conducting home visits, and writing accurate case notes. Ideal candidates should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate compassion while working with diverse groups. A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Humanities, Education or similar degrees
- Three years or more of related applicable work experience
- Ability to have patience with interpretation services
- Valid Driver’s License and access to an insured auto
- Willingness to undergo Police, Act 33/34 and FBI fingerprint screening
Desired Qualifications
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
- Experience in other languages and cultures preferred
