Refugee Resettlement Worker (Wednesday- Saturday 7-5pm)

Job Summary

Establish and maintain effective relationships with youth while demonstrating appropriate boundaries and ensuring consistent care and supervision. Acquire knowledge of the Continuum of Care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care to maintain a professional environment consistent with Title 22 and agency policies. Demonstrate effective Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, maintain vigilant supervision of youth in 24/7 care, and actively engage youth toward their treatment goals and daily living. Regularly transport youth to appointments, recreation activities, and court, while facilitating life skills groups covering budgeting, cooking, hygiene, and wellness. Prepare timely and accurate documentation of services and incidents. Work Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents, or youth in a childcare, educational, residential, recreational, behavioral health, or social services setting
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver's license and auto insurance
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR
  • Must be able to understand and follow policy and procedures
  • Must be able to document services, incidents, and other required forms/documents
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field
  • Proficiency in a threshold language
