Job Summary
Provide ongoing support to address barriers to employment throughout the program period by maintaining weekly contact with active participants. Assess and evaluate psycho-social factors to determine capabilities, conduct needs assessments, and identify resources to promote interpersonal insight and professional development. Monitor client progress, address employment barriers as necessary, and refer clients to community resources and organizations. Network with community service providers, complete reporting forms for government agencies and funding sources, and maintain communication with job developers. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and one year of experience working with vulnerable individuals, along with a valid N.Y.S. driver's license and registered vehicle. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with vulnerable individuals
- Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License
- Registered and insured vehicle
- N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at clients' homes and/or community facilities that may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals
- Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment
