Refueling Technician - North Carolina

Job Summary

Operate fuel dispensing equipment to refuel vehicles, generators, and other equipment in disaster-affected areas. Assist with safely dispensing fuel from tanker trucks, perform routine inspections and maintenance on dispensing equipment, and identify mechanical issues requiring repairs. Ensure accurate measurement and recording of dispensed fuel while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Adhere to all safety guidelines, participate in training and drills, and assist with setting up temporary fuel stations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, usage, and inventory levels while communicating status updates to the Fuel Operations Supervisor. Prepare daily reports on refueling activities and respond to emergency call outs for deployment within 12 to 72 hours of notification.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • One year's experience in fuel handling, logistics, or a related field
  • Experience in general labor, construction, warehouse, and industrial
  • Operating and reliable cell phone
  • Proficient in using portable tablets
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance
  • Excellent record with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Ability to work long hours in challenging conditions during disaster response operations
  • Experience in emergency response or disaster recovery operations
  • Familiarity with fuel management processes and logistics
  • The ability to travel within as soon as 12-72 hours of notification
