Job Summary
Operate fuel dispensing equipment to refuel vehicles, generators, and other equipment in disaster-affected areas, assisting with safely dispensing fuel from tanker trucks while ensuring accurate measurement and recording. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment to ensure operational readiness, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues as necessary. Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations related to fuel handling, transportation, and dispensing. Assist with the setup and operation of temporary fuel stations and coordinate with the logistics team regarding delivery and distribution. Maintain clear communication with the Fuel Operations Supervisor regarding refueling status and submit daily reports on activities. Respond to emergency call outs and be available for deployment within 12 to 72 hours of notification for seasonal positions in Alabama.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license

- One year's experience in fuel handling, logistics, or a related field
- Experience in general labor, construction, warehouse, and industrial
- Operating and reliable cell phone
- Proficiency in using portable tablets
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance
- Excellent record with a strong emphasis on safety
- Ability to work long hours in challenging conditions during disaster response operations
- Experience in emergency response or disaster recovery operations
- Familiarity with fuel management processes and logistics
- Ability to travel within as soon as 12-72 hours of notification
