Refrigeration Training Supervisor

Job Summary
Develop and implement Managed On-the-Job Training checklists for onboarding Refrigeration Techs and Assembly Techs at manufacturing sites. Partner with Team Leads to evaluate employee progress at 3, 6, and 12-week intervals. Analyze training documentation to offer solutions and develop standardized regimens based on skill gaps and quality standards. Launch and facilitate the "Brazing Excellence" certification program while coordinating materials for new hire onboarding. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training aids and represent the L&D team at meetings as requested. Maintain records in the learning management system and participate in root cause analysis workshops to address performance gaps.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level understanding of brazing in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration processes
- At least 3 years of experience in refrigeration processes
- Experience in training or a related field
- Ability to discern individual team members' level of comprehension
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to best suit their needs
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Ability to learn Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to learn and adhere to basic Human Resource principles
- Willingness to learn and develop within a challenging and rewarding role
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, and stand
- Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to travel to KCC manufacturing sites
- Ability to work occasional hours outside of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Good visual and spatial perception
- Knowledge of mobile equipment safety policies
- Knowledge of PPE safety policies
- Knowledge of emergency response safety policies
- Knowledge of HAZCOM safety policies
- Knowledge of first aid response
- Good attendance record (less than 8 attendance points if internal applicant)
- 6 months in current department (if internal applicant)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with adult learning theory
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
