Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain light commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and self-contained units across retail environments. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues, and complete service calls with high-quality workmanship. Accurately document work performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up actions while communicating professionally with customers and vendors. Adhere to all safety standards, EPA regulations, and company policies. Requires 2+ years of experience, EPA Universal Certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs or work in confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls
- EPA Universal Certification
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying temperature conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended period
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing ice machines and self-contained units
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with mobile work order systems or CMMS platforms
