Job Summary
Monitor and maintain plant ammonia/refrigeration, compressed air, process steam, and HVAC systems under the direction of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Perform safe, efficient operation and monitoring of steam plant heating, condensate, hot/cold water, fire protection, and gas mask breathing apparatus requirements. Complete required CFC Certification and maintain City of Rochester Steam Licenses while working third shift from 10pm to 6am Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields
- Physical capability to wear a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus
- Capability to complete all lifting (100 lbs.), climbing, and other physical demands
- CFC Certification - Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA
- Willingness to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced work environment
- Safety and quality-orientated mindset
