Job Summary
The Refrigeration Technician I assists in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, reach-in refrigeration units, ice machines, and refrigerated cases. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, supporting senior technicians during service calls, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, documenting service activities, and maintaining tools and company vehicles. Ideal candidates possess an EPA Universal Certification and a valid driver's license, along with foundational experience in refrigeration or HVAC.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to learn and work under the direction of experienced technicians
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of commercial refrigeration or HVAC experience preferred
- Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and controls
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation
