Job Summary
Diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers and upright freezers, while performing routine preventive maintenance and emergency after-hours responses. Execute technical tasks such as refrigerant line brazing, nitrogen sweeping, and evacuation protocols. Erect, seal, and insulate freezer boxes and maintain all tools and vehicles for safe operation. Document repair status and activity logs for customers and supervisors. This role requires EPA certification, 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, and the ability to work irregular hours with an on-call schedule. A valid Virginia driver's license and physical capability to lift 50 pounds are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years commercial refrigeration experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Certification
- Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities
- Able to work irregular and extended hours, including an on-call schedule
- Must have a valid Virginia driver's license
- Must have positive points on state driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted
- Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years
- Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
