Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on transport refrigeration units (TRU) and auxiliary power units (APU); diagnose and repair mobile refrigeration equipment; follow established technical and administrative processes; complete repair orders and parts usage forms; communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers; remain current on technical and regulatory requirements; perform road service calls as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical trade school a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications is a big plus
- Experience in refrigeration/HVAC equipment installation and/or repair
- Proficient with computer operation/usage
- Skills to install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment
- Own and maintain proper hand tools
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods, and equipment
