Job Summary
Refrigeration Technician role focusing on assembling and servicing dehumidifiers and HVAC equipment. Responsibilities include layout and attachment of condensing units and coils, copper piping sizing, brazing joints, wiring of condensers and controls, coolant charging, field service with occasional site visits, factory start-up and commissioning, and collaboration with engineering to meet specifications and improve production standards. Requires reading electrical and mechanical drawings, knowledge of PLC controls, and travel up to 50% for site visits. Qualifications include a minimum high school diploma/GED, EPA certification, 5+ years of field service experience in HVAC/dehumidifiers, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to travel within the US. Preferred qualifications include welding, metal fabrication, advanced HVAC training, PLC/controls experience, and sales experience.
Required Qualifications
- Min. H.S. diploma/GED
- EPA certified/licensed
- Min. 5 years of field service experience on Dehumidifiers, HVAC or other air handling equipment
- Ability to read and understand electrical & mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of control and power wiring
- Working knowledge of electrical and sheet metal design
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to possibly travel to job sites in locally and in other states
