Job Summary
Refrigeration Technician responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment (walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, rooftops, split systems, exhaust/make-up air). Perform preventative maintenance, install/commission systems, document service calls and parts used, and communicate recommendations to customers. Maintain EPA compliance, manage truck inventory, respond to emergency service calls, and participate in ongoing training. Must read technical manuals/diagrams, have strong problem-solving and customer-service skills, and be able to lift 50+ lbs. with the ability to work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions. Requires EPA Universal Certification, valid driver's license, 3+ years of related experience, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification required
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service (preferred)
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
- Own industry standard hand tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
