Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
Monitor building equipment for safety and perform repairs on refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems. Conduct daily mechanical checks in the mechanical room, roof, and walk-ins while executing preventative maintenance, leak checks, and new equipment installations. Troubleshoot issues, document solutions in Corrigo and Refrigerant tracking systems, and manage communications for service calls. Operate EMS building controls and automation systems to fine-tune parameters and modify sequences. Maintain current licenses, ensure compliance with state codes, and perform administrative tasks including ordering materials and data entry. Work overtime on weekends and holidays as needed while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- valid driver's license
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after-hours when on call
- Able to perform manual labor
- Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching are required in the completion of job duties
- Must be computer literate and proficient in web-based work order platforms
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders
- Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance
- Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of building-related vocational-technical programs are preferred
