Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
The Refrigeration Technician will coordinate, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration-related equipment utilizing various Freon systems with reciprocating and screw compressors. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, installing and repairing systems, inspecting and adjusting refrigeration for efficiency, and conducting preventative maintenance. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a part of a team, and communicate effectively. Required qualifications include at least two years of relevant experience, knowledge of OSHA and HAZMAT regulations, and specific certifications related to the field.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience working with HVAC/Refrigeration/Electrical systems
- Current Alaska Driver License with clean record
- PSM Certified
- RETA (CARO) Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator Certification
- Acts with honesty and integrity
- Ability to organize and plan
- Quickly solve problems
- Multi-tasking
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Proficient in basic Mathematics
Desired Qualifications
- HAZMAT Certification
- Low Voltage Control Systems knowledge
- OSHA Level A Hazmat Certification
- OSHA HAZMAT Incident Command Training
- Forklift Certification preferred
