Job Summary
As a Refrigeration Technician 1, you will assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration systems in various settings, gaining experience under the supervision of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include managing refrigeration, electrical, and HVAC systems, executing preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring leak detection system functionality, maintaining product integrity through temperature monitoring, and responsible for effective communication of system operations. Candidates should have experience with ammonia systems, strong analytical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues, and proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of ammonia systems experience
- RETA CIRO certifications or equivalent
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary for estimates and interpreting specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of basic refrigeration principles
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Adherence to safety regulations and procedures
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel to remote locations
- Must be capable of working long shifts (12 to 16 hours)
- Must be able to work safely in hazardous conditions
- Must pass all safety test requirements
