Job Summary
Monitor building equipment for safety and perform repairs on refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems. Conduct daily mechanical checks in mechanical rooms, on roofs, and in refrigerated cases while operating EMS building controls to fine-tune parameters and adjust schedules. Execute preventative maintenance, leak checks, and inspections, documenting solutions in Corrigo and Trakref and maintaining EPA forms and jurisdictional records. Troubleshoot complex problems, manage communications for service calls, and oversee outside contractor work. Perform administrative tasks including ordering materials and entering work reports, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Requires valid driver's license, EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, and willingness to work overtime on weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after-hours when on call
- Minimum of three years recent experience performing refrigeration service, or maintenance work in building related trades
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders
- Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance
- General record keeping skills
- Customer service orientation and sensitivity to diverse needs of coworkers, employees, and other persons contacted in the daily course of work
- Ability to work independently
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to maintain proper neat uniform appearance of Company provided work shirt and employee provided clean blue jeans without holes or tears
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required including arc flash and safety glasses
- Ability to perform manual labor
- Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching is required in completion of job duties
- 40%+ of time is spent traveling
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of building related vocational - technical programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and care to avoid mechanical breakdowns
- Able to respond to direct and radio requests as soon as possible
