Job Summary
Oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of the industrial ammonia refrigeration system, including troubleshooting and repair of compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, spiral chillers, and freezers. Manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce refrigerant loss and control expenses while responding to emergency calls during regular and off hours. Conduct required inspections, monitor leak detection systems, and evaluate equipment condition to optimize energy savings and ensure EPA compliance. Maintain housekeeping in engine rooms, order repair parts, and support the PSM program and outside contractor services. Work the second shift from 3pm to 12am.
Required Qualifications
- Introduction to Ammonia system and controls
- two/three years related experience and/or training refrigeration
- equivalent combination of education and experience
