Job Summary
Maintain boilers, air compressors, flotation, main lift stations, hot water systems, and refrigeration equipment to eliminate downtime, unsafe conditions, USDA issues, and food safety concerns. Supervise the Roundsman crew daily, prioritize work schedules with maintenance planners, and ensure strict adherence to plant safety policies, PSM programs, and HACCP guidelines. Manage refrigeration systems for carcass coolers while verifying equipment licenses and operating certificates. Actively participate in plant maintenance activities and USDA-related issues, ensuring all repairs meet food safety standards. Work the 1st shift with a requirement to reside in the United States; no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience as a refrigeration mechanic
- Operator 1 ammonia Certified
- Hazmat 24hr training
- Incident command
- Process safety management experience
- Planner 201 Training
- Hazwoper experience
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of two stage anhydrous ammonia refrigeration system
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of screw compressor
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of booster
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of reciprocating compressor
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of rotary booster
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of evaporative condensers
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of ammonia pumps
- Knowledge for the operation and repair of controls
- Must be competent in Windows based software
- Must be able to communicate effectively in all areas of communication: verbal written and reading
- Must reside in the United States to be considered
- No more than 4 attendance points for locations on an 8-point policy
- No written warning in the past six (6) months
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
