Job Summary
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on industrial refrigeration equipment, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and heat exchangers. Maintain and operate cascade refrigeration units and Syltherm oil circulation systems running at ultra-low temperatures (-105°F to -128°F). Safely manage, recover, and recycle specialized industrial refrigerants, specifically R-404A and R-508B. Monitor roof-mounted refrigeration units, vapor expansion tanks, dehydrators, and control instrumentation to ensure continuous process cooling for boron trichloride recovery. Strictly adhere to safety and compliance protocols given the chemical processing environment. Requires EPA Universal Certification and 5+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration systems. Comprehensive on-the-job training provided with clear career progression paths.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Universal Certification
- 5+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration systems, including cascade and low-temperature equipment
- High-level mechanical aptitude
