Job Summary
Senior Refrigeration Technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems across multiple supermarket and convenience-store locations. Serves as technical leader and mentor, supporting system reliability, uptime, and technician development. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, monitors system performance, handles on-call rotations and emergency service, documents work orders and refrigerant usage, and ensures compliance with EPA/OSHA safety standards. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, 5–10+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal), and a valid driver’s license. Works independently in the field with coordination with supervisors and store operations; skilled in troubleshooting a range of refrigeration-related issues and collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
- 5–10+ years of commercial refrigeration experience
- Experience with rack systems, EMS, and store-level refrigeration controls
- Valid driver’s license
- Advanced troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, controls)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
