Refrigeration Operating Engineer

Job Summary
Operate automated or computerized control systems and perform daily inspection of the CO2 refrigeration plant to ensure safe operation. Measure temperature, fuel flow and pressure; record, analyze and enter equipment readings in Oracle; troubleshoot and perform corrective actions or minor repairs; conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping in the engine room; maintain daily operation, maintenance and safety logs; report to the Chief Engineer/EMM and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities; work with CMMS and coordinate with colleagues; physical requirements include exposure to cold environments and possible evenings/weekends; must collaborate with team in a unionized environment.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma with post secondary education is preferred
- Class 4 Power Engineer or equivalent in New Brunswick preferred
- Working knowledge of Food Safety (GMP, HACCP, AIB and SQF)
