Job Summary
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment for supermarket customers. Read and interpret drawings, overhaul units, and replace worn parts on compressors and pumps. Diagnose system problems, adjust valves and piping, and install motors and controls. Instruct customers on proper care and maintenance while supervising apprentices. Represent the company professionally on every call, enforce safety regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and codes. Perform other duties as assigned and provide administrative backup.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college
- A current driver's license
- A valid and up to date Certificate of Qualification
- 5 years supermarket rack experience
- Knowledge and skill of tools, equipment, and materials and practices of the trade
- Knowledge of applicable HVAC/R codes, standards, and regulations
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
