Job Summary
Refrigeration Mechanic I at Albany Memorial Hospital responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical refrigeration equipment including heat pumps, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, window ACs, and split-system units; performs troubleshooting and repair of related components, interprets mechanical drawings and electrical control diagrams, and conducts preventive maintenance tasks on RTUs, EMS/DDC-controlled equipment, and related systems. Requires proficiency with diagnostic tools (manometer, velometer, tachometer, multi-meter), occupational safety standards (OSHA), soldering/brazing, and coordinating with vendors for parts; minimum education of a 2-year associate's degree in Refrigeration or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of refrigeration work; pay range $22.25-$27.42 per hour, equating to annualized salaries $46,280–$57,034 depending on experience and location.
