Job Summary
Monitor, control, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all building components, refrigeration equipment, steam generating equipment, compressed air systems, water supply and distribution systems, return condensate systems, mechanically, electrically, hydraulically, and pneumatically. Assist in utilities maintenance as directed, including HVAC and wastewater systems. Complete all necessary documentation of activities, log entries, and leak reports. Ensure operation of utilities machinery by performing maintenance on various machines following diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer instructions. Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing mechanical devices, discovering problems, and making repairs. Handle preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs, and install equipment on utility systems. Comply with all Tyson safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements. Complete all paperwork and SAP functions. Perform duties in a cold environment ranging from -20 to 110 degrees F.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of (3) years of experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
- NJ Black Seal Boiler License High Pressure or higher
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment, -20 to 110 degrees F, with all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and required gear
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as pinching and grasping
- Able to reach high and low levels, frequently
- Able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hrs
- Able to climb stairs several times per hour
- 3 Time rule employment with Tyson
- 90 days waiting period for rehire
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Electro-Mechanical, or a related field of study (preferred)
- PSM Experience (preferred)
