Job Summary
Conduct daily preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant refrigeration, boiler, air compressor, and hot water systems. Assure safety compliance with ammonia handling protocols and OSHA/EPA regulations while maintaining HOWDEN, SULLAIR, and MYCOM equipment in optimal operating conditions. Participate as an Emergency Response Team Member and travel for training up to two times annually. This D Shift role requires lifting 50 pounds, working in temperatures from 30-100°F, and rotating 6:00pm to 6:00am hours. Candidates must have PSM experience and Anhydrous Ammonia system repair skills.
Required Qualifications
- PSM experience
- Experience working with Anhydrous Ammonia systems, including mechanical & electrical repairs
- Ability to obtain SCBA certification and use fully encapsulated chemical suit in emergency
- Ability to travel and attend training 1-2 trips per year
- Ability to pass IIAR Training modules for ammonia refrigeration
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Willingness and ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Willingness to move from one area of production to another
- Willingness to stand, stoop, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, and move about the facility
- Willingness to work in temperatures between 30-100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Completion of 90-day probationary period and less than four (4) attendance points (for current Maintenance Team Members)
- No written warnings for job performance in the previous six (6) months (for current Maintenance Team Members)
- Completion of 30 days of employment but less than 90-day probation (for current production Team Members)
- Less than two (2) attendance points (for current production Team Members)
- No written warnings for job performance (for current production Team Members)
- Documentation of mechanical or HVAC experience within application (for internal candidates)
