Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks on refrigeration systems, including ammonia, electrical, and industrial maintenance components. Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting while complying with Hazmat certification and food safety standards. Operate forklifts and skyjacks as needed, moving across varying plant temperatures and environments with little supervision. Complete Tyson Level 1 through 4 Skills Training within eighteen months. Work the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM) Monday through Friday with a competitive hourly rate and sign-on bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with HVAC or Ammonia systems
- Completion of HVAC school
- Experience in an industrial or commercial setting
- Experience with basic Refrigeration systems through Technical Schools, Military Training and/or Trades
- Familiarity with Plant Compressed Air systems
- Familiarity with all water supply systems (Ex: Chill water, Hot water supply system, City water and Glycol systems)
- Membership in the Hazmat Team
- Ability to pass required physical
- Ability to work in harsh environments for short periods of time (Ex: Heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc.)
- Capability to read, write, and use math skills
- Ability to work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision
- Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Willingness to work in and out of -10-degree temps
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
