Job Summary
Refrigeration Construction Foreman leading a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices in Burlington, Ontario; responsible for safety, blueprints interpretation, layout, and installation of refrigeration systems and piping, ensuring materials are on hand, and maintaining communication with project managers to support smooth turnover from construction to service. The role requires licensure as a 313A mechanic, extensive refrigeration installation experience (7+ years with 2 years in a foreman capacity), knowledge of supermarket refrigeration and CO2 system installation as assets, proficiency with control systems and electrical troubleshooting, familiarity with TSSA regulations, a valid G license, and willingness to travel. The position is a regular full-time union role with a full union compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed 313A mechanic
- Minimum 7 years of refrigeration installation experience with 2 years as foreman
- Experience with supermarket refrigeration is considered an asset
- CO2 system installation experience is considered an asset
- Experience with control systems
- Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of TSSA regulations and procedures
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to travel when required
