Job Summary
Plan and conduct equipment repairs for refrigeration and boiler systems while performing routine audits and inspections. Troubleshoot issues across ammonia refrigeration, engine & boiler systems, electricity, motor controls, and instrumentation. Respond to unplanned and emergency work requests in a timely manner, maintaining open communication with operations. Demonstrate strong safety leadership by following safe work practices and food safety protocols. Maintain high-pressure boiler licenses and pursue RETA certification. Work independently as part of a team to support maintenance personnel on the 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Completion of a formal trades training program
- Equivalent number of years of education and maintenance experience
- Two years of industrial maintenance experience
- Comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas: RETA Certification, Ammonia Refrigeration Engine & Boiler systems, Electricity & motor controls, Controls & instrumentation, PLC/software & hardware, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Mechanical systems, Predictive/Predictive maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Site utilities, System analysis & troubleshooting, Pipefitting & welding, Machining, Metal fabrication
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently
- High Pressure Boiler License; either ASOPE or NIULPE Power Engineer
- Have or be able to attain RETA certification
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
