Job Summary
Assembles refrigeration systems for chambers by following blueprints/mechanical drawings. Starts with a structural steel frame, mounts components, and performs line piping. Progresses from Level I to Level IV with duties including copper cutting, applying Armaflex insulation, soldering/brazing, installing gauges, valves, and pumps, performing leak checks, pressure tests, and coordinating work as a Lead. Requires reading parts lists and mechanical drawings, basic math (decimals to fractions), and hands-on use of power tools; acceptable candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED and have a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of High School Diploma or GED
- History of good attendance
- Task oriented
- Good math skills with ability to convert decimals to fractions
- Experience using power tools including drill and saws
- A Current, Valid Driver’s License is Required
