Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair transport refrigeration units, trucks, and trailers while performing preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications. Repair electrical, starting, charging, cooling, and refrigeration systems, including leak detection, compressor replacement, and soldering. Inspect equipment, identify faulty parts, and use diagnostic tools as needed, maintaining accurate repair documentation. Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and safe while following all company safety policies and procedures. Work effectively with team members and perform other assigned duties. Requires 1+ years of transport refrigeration or diesel experience, ASE certifications preferred, and ownership of required tools and steel-toed work boots.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in heat, cold, and confined spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and access trailer roofs and interiors
- Ability to pass a physical examination
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of transport refrigeration, diesel, or related mechanical experience
- Vocational or trade school training
- ASE certifications
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
- Own required tools
- Own steel-toed work boots
