Job Summary
Waitstaff at The Bristal luxury assisted living community in Wayne, NJ, full-time 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Sundays through Thursdays. Deliver on dining experience by serving meals per Director of Food Service guidelines; take resident meal orders; ensure setting cleanliness; assist with plating and portion control for appetizers, salads, soups, beverages and desserts; bus tables; prioritize customer service, professionalism, patience, and a friendly demeanor for a senior resident population.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry
- Able to function in a fast-paced environment
- Have a strong ability to multi-task
- Possesses good communication, customer service and people skills
- Is professional, patient and able to satisfy a demanding customer base
- Experience working with a senior population is preferred, but not required
- Is a team player, willing to help out where needed to ensure a pleasurable dining experience
- Familiarity with food safety, food preparation and board of health guidelines is a plus
- Is able to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways
- Must always be reliable, caring and gentle in actions and demeanor
- Maintains an abiding respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times
