Job Summary
Develop and review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, staffing requirements, resource allocation, and implementation strategies for refinery improvement projects ranging from $750K to $3MM. Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities, and actively review status reports to modify schedules as necessary. Deliver project status reports to management and clients while establishing effective client engagement and ensuring timely resolution of conflicts. Actively monitor delivery of milestones and sustainable results to ensure projects are delivered on-time, in full, and within budget. Participate in delivery of training programs and mentor Operations professionals by providing performance feedback and supporting their development plans. Lead internal improvement initiatives and ensure team compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of refinery operations management experience
- Excellent technical skills
- 5+ years of downstream experience successfully managing workstreams within one or more of the four services: Blending, Energy Intensity, Hydrocarbon Loss Control, Value Chain Optimization
- 5+ years of experience with project management processes and methodologies
- Lean Six Sigma 'Black Belt' certified
- Demonstrable experience in continuous process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to remain flexible and to successfully adapt to a variety of working environments
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals within all levels of an organization
- An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree
- Bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering)
- Relevant experience in Oil & Gas Refinery
- Approximately 80% travel
- Candidates must be able to travel regularly
- Work onsite at refinery and client locations throughout the EU
