Job Summary
Refineries Analyst role focused on maintaining data integrity, capacity, and offline events for refinery models using an internal LP model; backtesting with external data (EIA/JODI/IRR); optimizing refinery circuits (distillation, reforming, FCC, blending) and regional supply/demand views; utilize Python and PostgreSQL to automate data flows; collaborate with data, product, engineering, and sales to provide insights for refinery product development; BA/BS in technical field and 3–5 years of relevant experience; global, hybrid-minded team with offices in Houston, Athens, Dubai, and London.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field
- 3–5 years of experience in refinery economics or related roles
- Proficiency with Python and PostgreSQL
- Experience with LP modeling software (Aspen PIMS, AVEVA Unified/Spiral, or Haverly GRTMPS)
- Experience sourcing external data (EIA/JODI/IRR) for refinery modeling
- Understanding of distillation, reforming, FCC, and blending
- Strong data integrity and validation skills
- Ability to collaborate across Data, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams
- Client-facing communication skills
