Job Summary
Conduct fair, thoughtful assessments of men seeking recovery from addiction and drug or alcohol use, making recommendations for admission. Build trusted relationships with referral partners across prisons, probation services, and local authorities while coordinating admissions and prison gate collections where required. Maintain accurate referral records and occupancy information, ensuring every applicant experiences a welcoming, professional introduction to Nehemiah. Protect the recovery community through sound judgement and effective safeguarding while collaborating with colleagues to continually improve the referral service.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel in and out of London
- Experience in addiction recovery, homelessness, criminal justice, mental health or supported housing
- Ability to build trust quickly through warmth, professionalism and respect
- Ability to communicate confidently with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Ability to balance compassion with good judgement
- Ability to build relationships and solve problems
- Ability to play a key role in helping people begin their recovery journey
