Job Summary
Facilitate the donation process by medically screening and reviewing donor referrals via phone to evaluate potential donor suitability. Route external referral requests, transcribe health information into electronic medical records, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests for clinical management. Collaborate with hospital personnel to develop action plans for donation activation and maintain accurate documentation of the screening process. Work rotating 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM CST on a two-week schedule within an office or remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
- Minimum of a two-year degree in a health-related field, nursing or paramedic/EMT certification or combination of equivalent experience
- Min 1 year in OPO, Tissue Banking or related field
- 1+ years in a health-care related position including use of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include TEAMS
- Exceptional teamwork skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Exceptional conflict management skills
- Must be able to work on a rotating 12-hour shift on night shift from 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM CST
- Must be able to work on a 2 week rotating schedule (Week 1 - Sun, Wed, Thurs. Week 2 - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat.)
- Must have their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by their potential start date or be able to supply proof of vaccination
