Job Summary
Conduct initial phone screenings and review electronic medical records to evaluate potential organ donor suitability. Build and maintain donor charts by accurately entering data from EMR and phone interactions into the internal system. Collaborate with hospital staff and interdisciplinary teams to support the donation process from referral to authorization while ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and quality assurance initiatives. Work 12-hour rotating shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or Paramedic/EMT
- Current experience working in a critical care or emergency care setting
- Ability to obtain and maintain an ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification
- Familiarity with EMR usage (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, internal EMR systems)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment
