Job Summary
Coordinate diagnostic testing schedules, specialty appointments, and prior authorizations for diagnostics and specialty services. Maintain ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety. Serve as the system navigator and point of contact for patients and families, acting as an advocate with carriers to ensure timely approval of supplies and services. Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographics and insurance information, while assembling clinical background data to provide specialists. Contact insurance companies to verify approval requirements and present necessary medical information to financial services. Document patient contact, progress, and chart updates in the EHR, including specialist consults, hospitalizations, and ER visits. Remind patients of scheduled appointments and follow up to ensure they keep their appointments as planned. Request and track medical records and reports to ensure timely receipt.

- Level 2 background clearance
- All necessary vaccinations
- PPD test
