Job Summary
Submit referrals and authorizations with complete, accurate information, then track approvals, denials, and next steps to keep care moving. Coordinate records and documentation so specialists have what they need, document thoroughly in the EMR, and maintain clean, accurate patient files. Schedule specialist appointments, verify insurance and eligibility, and respond to patient and provider inquiries with concierge-level support. Partner with providers to create seamless patient experiences, collaborate with clinical staff, and support front office and MA workflows when needed. Identify workflow gaps, help refine referral processes, and contribute to care team discussions that strengthen patient outcomes. Report to the Center Manager at the Brooksville clinic, with training at Hudson and Spring Hill clinics prior to the October 1, 2026 opening.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years as a referral coordinator or medical assistant, ideally in primary care
- 2+ years managing referrals from primary care to specialists
- Strong communication skills that build trust with patients, providers, and teammates
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast‐paced clinic
- Compassion, professionalism, and a patient‐first mindset
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Composure and focus when things get busy
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to learn

- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Brooksville clinic (some local travel may be required to help cover other centers)
Desired Qualifications
- Are a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Have experience supporting both front office and clinical workflows
- Are bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proactively identify workflow gaps and help strengthen referral processes
- Bring warmth, clarity, and concierge‐level support to every patient interaction
