Job Summary
REMOTE FLOAT Referral Coordinator position focusing on processing managed care referral paperwork, coordinating with physicians and staff to obtain appointments, and maintaining referral records. Responsibilities include gathering information from physicians and nursing staff to complete referrals, scheduling referrals with external providers, responding to patient inquiries about health plan referrals, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Requires 1-3 years of clinical healthcare experience (Medicare population preferred), proficiency with medical terminology and Microsoft Office, EMR experience, strong communication skills, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Local travel may be required; 32 hours per week with remote work arrangement provided. Training/interview via HireVue may be conducted; certain testing for language proficiency may be used. Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population
- Referral experience is MANDATORY
- Proficient with medical terminology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent professional communication abilities at all levels within the organization and with patients
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Medical Assistant or Professional State Certifications related to healthcare (preferred)
