Job Summary
As a Referral Coordinator, you will process referrals, verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations, ensure complete referral documentation, coordinate with clinical teams, and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers. Responsibilities include receiving and reviewing referrals from physicians and hospitals, ensuring referrals and authorizations are completed before appointments, communicating referral status to patients, maintaining logs and documentation per policies, and supporting office tasks as needed. The role requires strong understanding of medical insurance processes, ability to read medical documentation, excellent communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with basic computer and referral/practice management software. Travel may be required to TOI locations.
