Job Summary
Referral Coordinator at Cascades East Clinic (Full-Time, Days) handles the intake and processing of referrals to specialist providers, verifies insurance eligibility and obtains pre-authorizations, tracks referral status, communicates with insurance agencies and patients, locates out-of-area specialists as needed, and supports general clerical duties including operating office equipment and handling multiple telephone lines. The role requires medical office experience, medical terminology knowledge, strong communication skills, confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress clinic environment; preferred qualifications include ICD-9/CPT coding experience and bilingual capabilities.
