Job Summary
Referral Coordinator responsible for tracking referrals to ensure timely completion, handling prior approval/authorization with payers, compiling relevant medical/social history for referrals, assisting patients in overcoming barriers to accessing care (e.g., transportation, patient assistance programs, interpretation services), serving as a system navigator and advocate for patients and families, establishing and maintaining referral relationships with providers and organizations, and providing front office support as needed. May assist the clinical team as a Medical Assistant. Requires high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong customer service and communication abilities. Travel within western North Carolina is possible; full-time position with benefits.
