Job Summary
Coordinate referrals and appointment workflows for a gastroenterology practice; manage physician schedules, reschedule and track patient visits and procedures, ensure accurate patient data and HIPAA compliance, and liaise between referring providers and hospitals. Cross-train in front office and patient service duties, handle communications (phone, email, mail packets) for new patients, and support marketing and departmental tasks. Travel to multiple office locations within the metro area to cover front-office functions as directed by the Practice Manager/Regional Director of Operations. Maintain quality standards, respond to patient inquiries, and support scheduling for endoscopy procedures and ancillary services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- 2-3 years of specialty clinic experience
- gastroenterology experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred
