Job Summary
Referral Coordinator role supporting Purchased Referred Care (PRC) by determining eligibility and coordinating specialty medical services for Dilkon Medical Center and WIHCC when needed. Responsible for ensuring PRC fiscal accountability, coordinating between referring PCPs and specialists, maintaining confidentiality, and generating reports to monitor referrals, eligibility, and expenditures. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, two years of administrative support experience in healthcare, and preference for bilingual English–Navajo; driving license and background checks required. Experience with RCIS/EHR, HIPAA, and understanding of PRC policies and program goals is preferred. The position involves office and potential field responsibilities with occasional evening/weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Two years’ experience in an administrative support, billing and purchasing in a health care industry
- Bilingual skills in English and Navajo language preferred
- Must maintain a valid unrestricted and insurable driver’s license
- Must successfully pass a background investigation and maintain suitable requirements for a Child Care position
- Subject to the requirements of the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act
